Hon Artillery RA (Bren gun carriers) Sgt. (VR)

Started work with D. Stewart & Co., Wholesale Draper of Staining Lane in the City of London.
Left and went to work for Colliers the Tailors.
Left there and became a civilian quartermaster (WO2) in the Hon. Art. Co. - known as the "Home and Colonial".
He successfully asked to be transferred to Ronald Ridout's unit (Brother) on going to France.
Returned before Dunkirk ut around the same time.

Went to France at the beginning of WW2 and was one of the last to return via Brest on the fall of France. (VR)
